Robot fans are in for a real treat as Paramount Pictures’ Transformers is programmed to hit movie theaters this summer season.

Starring Shia LaBeouf (Sam Witwicky), Megan Fox (Mikaela Barnes), Jon Voight (Defense Secretary John Kellner), Tyrese Gibson (Technical Sergeant Epps, U.S. Air Force) and Bernie Mac (Bobby Bolivia), the film is set against the backdrop of a raging war between the good Autobots and the evil Decepticons for control over Allspark, a lucky charm that grants power to its owner.

After the Autobots managed to smuggle the Allspark from planet Cybertron, Megatron, leader of the Decepticons, tracked it down on Earth. In the process of capturing the Allspark once and for all, he crashed into the freezing, cool waters of the Artic Ocean. Before solidifying, he revealed a map, marking the location of the Allspark.

Years later, when Sam Witwicky bought his first car, Bumblebee, he found that there was more than met the eye of his beloved car; in fact, Bumblebee was an Autobot that was sent to protect Sam and his girlfriend, Mikaela, from the dangerous Decepticons. As the battle became fierce, the question remained if the Autobots and the U.S. military could ever restore peace on planet Earth.
