Matt Dillon

Sundance 2006

Aspiring filmmakers, high-powered producers, and A-list celebrities bundled up as they headed out to snow-capped Park City, Utah for the prestigious Sundance Film Festival. Chairman Robert Redford welcomed veteran attendee Nick Nolte, as well as Jennifer Aniston, Justin Timberlake, Terrence Howard, Ashley Judd, Rob Lowe, Matt Dillon, Sting, Daryl Hannah, and others, to a 10-day celebration of independent cinema.

While some stars spent the day frolicking in Main Street’s freebie wonderland, filled with luxe treats from Uggs; Fred Segal; Blackberry; Kröll Vodka; So La Vie; Timberland; Frederick’s of Hollywood; and ski and snowboarding gear, just to name a few, others hit the slopes or took in special movie screenings.

At night, celebrities donned their best party outfits and made appearances at some of the hottest see-and-be-seen socials in town, including one where hip-hop sensation, Beastie Boys, performed live.

The sun set on Sundance with its esteemed awards ceremony. Quinceanera, a film about a 15 year-old Los Angeles teen ostracized by her family after they learn she is pregnant, and God Grew Tired of Us, a chronicle of three Sudanese boys adjusting to life in America following the bloody civil war in their homeland, walked away with the festival’s highest honors.
