| The Noche de Niños inaugural benefit for Children's Hospital Los Angeles turned out to be a fabulous, star-studded gala hosted by child abuse advocate Cheryl Saban and MGM Chairman and CEO Alex Yemenidjian. Celebrities in attendance included Tommy Hilfiger, Jean Paul DeJoria, Lisa Vidal, Brook Burke and Judy Reyes. An elegant cocktail reception served up by Patron Tequila and silent auction were held before the gala. A sumptuous dinner was served during the show, which was emceed by George Lopez, with stirring performances by Carlos Baute, Joaquin Cortes, and Alejandro Sanz. Cheech Marin also provided entertainment for the dazzling crowd. Jennifer Lopez was honored for her humanitarian efforts on behalf of Children's Hospital Los Angeles, and Trish Meraz received the Courage to Care Award presented by Leonardo DiCaprio. Of her award, Jennifer Lopez said, "Children's Hospital Los Angeles is a remarkable place. I believe there is nothing more important than providing hope and healing to a sick child and their family. These kids need our support and I feel blessed to be able to help." Following the presentation of awards, the grand finale was kicked off by Jennifer's new hubby, Grammy award winner Marc Anthony. The smooth crooner dedicated a song in Jennifer's honor as she rocked to the music. The Noche de Niños proved to be both a fabulous Beverly Hills party, as well as a benefit for a wonderful cause. |
