Nacho Libre

From the creators of Napoleon Dynamite and The School of Rock comes Paramount Pictures’ latest pop culture flick sure to be quoted for years to come, the deliciously hilarious film Nacho Libre.

The movie stars Jack Black as Nacho, an orphan who grows up in a Mexican monastery and eventually becomes the monastery’s cook.

Nacho enjoys preparing food for the children he loves so much. Unfortunately, love leaves a bad taste in their mouths.

Determined to change all of that—and earn some brownie points from his crush, Sister Encarnación (Ana de la Reguera) while he’s at it—Nacho comes up with the most outlandish plan yet: becoming a prized Lucha Libre wrestler.

For a man with no skills, Nacho surprises all as he shows that he has a raw, natural talent for wrestling. But he must keep it secret, especially from the disapproving church elders.

To conceal his identity, Nacho dons a blue mask before taking to the ring with partner, Esqueleto (Héctor Jiménez). Together, they battle Mexico’s most famous wrestlers, fighting para los precious niños.

At times oozing with cheesiness, Nacho Libre is a wiz at delivering a comedic, touching tale. A must-see para todos.
