Loraine Colonello and Sir Ian McKellen

The Lord of the Rings Rules All

Lord of the Rings Oscar® nominees Dan Hennah and Chris Hennah brought a piece of New Zealand to Wilshire Boulevard in their creation of the first film-branded window display at Neiman Marcus. The display included props, costumes, and set decorations that were used during the film's production.

As Neiman Marcus always houses the most exciting events, Lord of the Rings drew in guests including Elijah Wood, Billy Boyd and, of course, the stoic and idolized Sir Ian Mckellen, whose mere presence is known to exude a sense of inspiration to fellow actors and fans alike.

As the leading British actor of his generation, Ian Mckellen impressed audiences once again with his role as Gandalf in Lord of the Rings, after praised performances in X-Men II, Scandal and Richard III. Ian Mckellen was knighted by the Queen of England in 1990.

By his side throughout Lord of the Rings films and the event were the electrifying eyes of Elijah Wood, whose magnetic gaze and blossomed good looks can be considered absolutely enchanting. Many remember him from movies such as Paradise, The Adventures of Huckleberry Fin, Oliver Twist, and Flipper. However, Elijah Wood has established quite a name for himself as Frodo Baggins, bringing Tolkien's character to life and enrapturing the attention of all who make his acquaintance.

Ever present Billy Boyd, whose previous work includes roles in The Far Side of the World and An Urban Ghost Story, undoubtedly won the hearts of many from his stellar performance as Pippin in The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Other Lord of the Rings fans, including David Tuckerman, attended to witness their share of the phenomenal display and guest list at Neiman Marcus on Wilshire.
