Animal lovers abound in Hollywood and celebrities show up for their true best friends. The Lint Roller Party benefiting Los Angeles programs of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary was recently held at the Hollywood Athletic Club on Sunset Strip. Oscar®

winner Charlize Theron, actresses Elisabeth Shue, Six Feet Under’s Frances Conroy, Amy Smart, Tori Spelling, and Troy director, Wolfgang Peterson, and his wife, Maria, all made impassioned pleas to the animal loving celebrity crowd, which included Shannon Elizabeth and actor husband Joseph Reitman, esteemed actor James Cromwell, Eric Roberts, and Bill Maher.

Our own two-dog owner and animal loving Editor-in-Chief, Loraine Colonello, was there to lend her support. This time, the glitz of showbiz was accompanied by pet hairs, on-site dog adoptions, pet psychic readings, a gospel band, and vegan cuisine provided by the chic catering company, Patina. The adoration in that room was sincere and heartfelt. It just shows that once again, Hollywood has stood up for animals and their rights.
