John Singleton, producer of the recent successful film, Hustle & Flow, takes a seat in the director's chair for Four Brothers, a stylish action melodrama about four very different men coming together to avenge the murder of their adoptive mother. This urban drama features Mark Wahlberg as a tough faced ex-con, Tyrese Gibson as the street wise ex-marine, Andre Benjamin (of OutKast) as the family man, and Garrett Hedlund as a rock star in the making.

All four were raised by a sweet, nurturing woman and share an uncanny brotherly bond. The brothers decide that they are better equipped to find the source of their mother's murder than the unreliable, corrupt police force and set out for a chain of engaging, action filled car chases, and gun fights.

This thrilling new film is reminiscent of Singleton's other hits such as 2 Fast 2 Furious and Shaft, in which expressive, gritty urban imagery is combined with pop icons melding together to create an edgy, crowd-pleaser bound to make a big splash in the late summer box office.
