Holly Robinson Peete

Celebration of Hope Gala

The Huntington's Disease Society of America recently threw a Celebration of Hope Gala to raise funds and awareness for the Center of Excellence at the UCLA Medical Center. Our very own Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is the honorary chairperson of the society. Joe Mantegna, long-time actor and star of Joan of Arcadia, received the "John Ritter HDSA Humanitarian Leadership Award." Holly Robinson Peete, another long-time actress, was the recipient of the "HDSA Distinguished Achievement Award." Bruce Zimmerman, Peter Lenkov, Elizabeth Marvel, and Pam Vessey, all producers and actors from The District Television Show, received the "HDSA Giving a Voice to HD Award." Also honored was Dr. Carolina A. Kovac, the manager of IBM Healthcare and Life Sciences. She received the HDSA Corporate Leadership Award, one of the highest honors bestowed by the organization. Grammy award winner Natalie Cole performed at the gala, which was attended by Amy Yasbeck, Tanya Roberts, Jason Ritter, and many others.

It was another star-studded night at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where Hollywood's finest came out to raise money and support a wonderful cause!
