Barney's New York Hits Hollywood

Paris Couture heats up in Los Angeles as Lanvin hits Hollywood. Anjelica Huston, Kelly Lynch, and Barneys New York Chairman Howard Socol recently hosted the Fall 2004 Lanvin Fashion Show, benefiting The Rape Foundation at the Barneys New York's Beverly Hills store. Lanvin, one of the world's oldest couture house, previewed some of their Paris Fall 2004 fashion show for this event. Alber Elbaz, artistic designer for the House of Lanvin, made his debut appearance to present the collection.

Over 400 guests, including actresses Aisha Tyler, Susan Dey, Calista Flockhart, Kristin Davis, Chloe Sevigny, Fran Drescher, singer Sheryl Crow, actor David Schwimmer, and activist Jaime Tisch all viewed the couture style show featuring Lanvin's glamorous and provocative collection. Barney's was transformed into a luxurious old-world Parisian dining club with dark plush velvet drapes, Versailles chairs, vintage candelabras and candles with blue lights that reflected the elegance of the collection. For the elite of Los Angeles, Barney's, for one night as least, was an old style elegant Paris hotspot in Beverly Hills.
