Loraine Colonello and Mark Wahlberg

A Place Called Home

A Place Called Home (APCH) put on their 11th Annual Gala for the Children at a beautiful reception in the ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The foundation honored Mark Wahlberg, Betty Graham (President of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage), and Howard Marks (Chairman of Oaktree Capital Management, LLC). APCH was started in 1993 by Founder and President Emeritus Debrah Constance to give inner-city, gang-affected youth a place where they could come after school, get a snack, do their homework, play and watch TV. The foundation grew at an exponential rate and now offers its youth members many programs including a day school, mentoring, and even college scholarships. Entertainment was even provided by some of the APCH kids. Celebrities such as Dustin Hoffman, Lily Tomlin, Suzanne Rico, Tom Sherak, Stephen Collins, and Niecy Nash came together to support this worthy cause.
