Emmy Fashions
It was definitely a scorcher Sunday afternoon but what was even hotter were the fashions that paraded down the Shrine Auditorium’s elegant red carpet runway. Check out our favorites as POWER salutes its top five fashion picks:
- Lost’s Evangeline Lilly was certainly found! The stunning actress was a marvel to watch in a strapless, violet-hued Versace gown that she paired with beautiful Neil Lane gems.
- There was no confusing Katherine Heigl. The Grey’s Anatomy star was a showstopper in a vintage bejeweled Escada and scrumptiously delicious Jimmy Choos.
- Desperate Housewives’ Eva Longoria made us long for the days of old Hollywood glamour. The star was a modern silver screen siren in a strapless, crispy white party dress accented with a brow-raising neckline.
- Tyra Banks looked like a million bucks in a form-fitting, wine-hued Georges Chakra she paired with exquisite Chopard jewels.
- And last but certainly not least was Jennifer Love Hewitt. The Ghost Whisperer star made her statement loud and clear. She was a sensation in a glimmering Collette Dinnigan that draped her gorgeous hourglass figure.

Emmy After-Parties
After the ceremony, celebs had their choices of locales to cap off their exciting evening. Join us as POWER takes you to these invitation-only bashes:
Governor’s Ball
Steps away from the ceremony itself was the grand Governor’s Ball. There, Seal performed live while guests feasted on exquisite cuisine, including avocado filled with shrimp and crab and fillet of beef. To top off their delectable meal, guests indulged in luscious milk chocolate mousse for dessert.
Twentieth Century Fox and Fox Broadcasting Emmy Awards Party
Meanwhile, guests packed Spago’s Beverly Hills and welcomed man of the evening Kiefer Sutherland with cheers and applause at the Fox party. "It's surreal,” he told the press. “It's surprisingly humbling when you look out and you see all those other actors — such great actors, and such great shows. I'm very thankful and grateful.”
HBO Emmy Awards Party
Across town, The Sopranos' James Gandolfini and Steve Van Zandt made an appearance at the Pacific Design Center. The party, taking on an underwater theme, belted out upbeat, jazzy music while guests hung out and chatted amongst themselves.
TV Guide Emmy After-Party
Jeffrey Chodorow’s latest pet project Social Hollywood was a favorite party destination for Emmy winner Mariska Hargitay. The posh soirée featured performances by Pink and the Battle of the Network Stars band with Desperate Housewives’ resident hottie James Denton on bass and House’s delicious doctor Hugh Laurie on keyboard.
Entertainment Tonight Emmy Awards Party
And at Asia de Cuba, another one of Chodorow’s hot spots, The West Wing’s Bradley Whitford and Grey’s Anatomy’s Sara Ramirez went crazy as Prince performed some of his greatest hits.
